A central philosophy behind BrooklynHomeSchool is that keeping the group small, learning is customized to the individual student, mobility and access to the entire city and beyond as learning resource is maximized (ie LOTS of "field trips" and hands-on, direct-experience learning), parents play a large and fulfilling (rather than exhausting or irritating) part in their own child's education and lifelong love of learning... ; )
This site will be an ongoing chronicle and resource for anybody interested: parents of our students, anybody interested in the approach to education we're pursuing, including the philosophy of direct family involvement in the educational process and experiences of lifelong learning...
Any articles, resources, any inspiring and relevant quotes, any tips or experiences I have to write about in this ongoing process of discovering education, you can find here, constantly being updated.
